Golf
As one of the oldest courses on the south shore of Long Island, golf has always been a traditional pastime at the Woodmere Club. Our championship 18-hole, par 70 course was redesigned by the legendary Robert Trent Jones in 1954. The water, wind, mature trees and secluded setting all help make the course continually different and exciting to play. The natural terrain, well-placed bunkers, water hazards, high rough and slick greens present a dynamic challenge for even the most accomplished golfer or player. Woodmere’s signature course is ranked as one of the most unique and interesting venues and is continually host to many Met PGA and local charity events.

Every season brings forth diverse and exciting opportunities to enjoy and relax outdoors as our energetic head professional introduces new tournaments and special events for every level of golfer. Should you require a lesson our PGA accredited Professionals can improve your game and the variety of tee and pin placements make the Woodmere Club a very user friendly course for all levels of play.

Our fully equipped pro shop offers state of the art merchandise to enhance your game and
the newest and most fashionable clothing and accessories at the most competitive prices. If
you need a game or a caddy, our Caddy Master will arrange all at a moment’s notice upon
your request. As a private club, we offer our membership the opportunity to play, relax
and enjoy the links at their own convenience, schedule and timeframe.

Tennis
For tennis enthusiasts, The Woodmere Club has six immaculately groomed, professionally maintained Har-Tru courts. The professionally run tennis facility has a comprehensive teaching program where expert instruction is available at all levels of play. Our tennis pavilion with its outdoor seating area is the ideal location to watch either a friendly afternoon game or one of the many tournaments that encompasses Woodmere’s competitive spirit. Whether a competitive player, weekend warrior or just enthusiastic spectator, The Woodmere Club offers diverse range of enjoyment opportunity.

Dining and Entertainment
Join us in our beautiful cathedral ceiling Grill Room or newly renovated dining room.
Our Maitre ’D, and gracious staff will always make you feel right at home. Before you
even sit down our dedicated team of wait staff will be attending to your every need.
The Woodmere club offers a wide range of dining options including an on course
halfway house and poolside snack bar for lighter fare.

For lunch one of the greatest features besides the weekend buffet is our children’s dining area. As families dine together, young children can amuse themselves with games and activities making the Woodmere club a desired destination for the entire family. We pride ourselves on a talented culinary team lead by our Executive Chef. Whether you join us for our world famous Clambake or a simple leisurely afternoon lunch, we offer a wide variety of menu choices for even the most discriminating of connoisseurs.

Swimming Pool
Just adjacent to the magnificent 18th hole finish of the golf course, is our glorious pool complex. The facility features an Olympic-size swimming pool with diving board, complete with Safe Guard Surfacing on the pool deck. The entire pool area is elevated to offer spectacular water and golf course views as well as providing an ample and refreshing breeze. Comfortable chaise lounges, and awnings abound to offer an oasis of relaxation in a resort style setting.

A section for younger children featuring a kiddie pool is nestled in its own park like setting offering a basketball court and jungle gym which are adjacent to the main pool and fully screened in snack bar and gazebo complexes. Certified lifeguards, attendants and wait staff are on duty throughout the summer season to accommodate your every desire.

A comprehensive range of state of the art cardiovascular and circuit training equipment is available to meet your every need. Our on staff personal trainers and masseur are at your disposal at a moment’s notice and the flexible hours of operation make the health facility available at your convenience and schedule. Afterwards take full advantage of all the comforts of our old world styled locker rooms which are fully stocked and offer steam and sauna facilities as well.
