Golf has been played at the Woodmere Club since 1913. The championship 18-hole, par 70 course was redesigned in 1954 by Robert Trent Jones with his signature elongated tees. The water, old trees and secluded setting all help make the course a joy to play. The championship tees, well-placed bunkers, water hazards, high rough and slick greens present an excellent challenge for the low handicap golfer. Yet, the variety of other tees makes the Woodmere Club a very user friendly course for the average to high handicap player. The Woodmere Club is a great place to make new friends.
Every season is different and exciting as our energetic head professional Jeff Cowell introduces new tournaments and special events for every type of golfer. Should you need a lesson, Jeff and his assistant pros, Ed Burke and Janice Metzler can help you improve your game, or just keep it right on course.
The pro shop has state of the art merchandise to enhance your game and the newest and most fashionable clothing and accessories. If you need a game or a caddy, our Caddy Master will arrange all of it for you.
If you have ever played the Woodmere course before, you will be in for a surprise the next time you play here. Under the direction of our Golf Course Superintendent the grounds crew has done an amazing job transforming the course and grounds at the club. New bunkers, sand traps, reconfiguration of holes, landscaping and drainage are just a few of our recent improvements.
